All-Bran Fibre Toppers, yoghurt and raspberries

This post is sponsored by Kellogg’s and Nuffnang.

A few weeks ago I introduced Kellogg’s new All-Bran Fibre Toppers and not being one to shy away from a food challenge, took the All-Bran 7 Day Challenge where you eat All-Bran Fibre Toppers every day for 7 days and see if you feel All-Bran New (I love the play on words!).

It was perfect timing for me, after a little too much heavy eating while I was away. The All-Bran challenge helped me get All-Bran new and feeling great.

I have to say, I got a little bit addicted to these little fibre bullets enjoying them everyday (and still am!). Anyone who has ever watched an episode of Masterchef knows that the perfect meal has the right balance of textures and crunch is a must-have. Well that’s just what All-Bran Fibre Toppers add.

Not only that, a single 25g serve gives you a third of your daily fibre needs and the fibre is the all-natural variety (from natural wheat bran, oat fibre and psyllium). We all need fibre as part of our healthy balanced diet and it’s important in maintaining digestive health, I just don’t like to have to think about it. Throwing some All-Bran Fibre Toppers on top of snacks and meals is just so easy!

They’re also low in fat and as well as being high in fibre they’re a source of  vitamins and minerals (B1, B2, niacin, iron, zinc, folate and magnesium).

My most favourite way to have eat them came straight from the picture on the box – on top of reduced, low or no fat yoghurt and raspberries. It was so tasty I’ve been having it for afternoon tea or dessert every day.

Breakfast

I’ve also added it to my morning muesli and I’ll throw some in the next batch of muesli that I make too.

Stewed apples with All-Bran Fibre Toppers

I cooked up some apples with cinnamon one afternoon and topped them with All-Bran Toppers. It tasted just like apple crumble.

Bowl of Kellogg's

I’d run out of berries when I had this breakfast but it was a nice Kellogg’s combo bowl of cereals and All-Bran Fibre Toppers. I’m not a big fan of dried fruit so usually go for the plain cereals.

It’s also a great crunchy topping for salads and all sorts of savoury dishes. If you’re stuck for ideas or still not convinced to give them a try then check out the recipes on the All-Bran website. The dukkah fish fillets caught my eye and I wouldn’t mind a mini cheesecake for dessert.

My recipe for apple crumble slice with added fibre is also on the website. It’s a great one for morning or afternoon tea.

So what about you? Have you ever taken on a food challenge?
